SRI AUROBINDO (AUROBINDO GHOSE)
From Sampath’s Desk:
You
had millions of Indian (and even abroad) hearts to win;
For
sometime You were part of the Indian Sinn Fein;
Threw
the foreign degrees and ICS aspiration into the dustbin!
As
strong as a mountain;
Proved
Yourself the spiritual captain;
Inspiring
words flowed freely from You as a fountain;
Making
the freedom fighters’ courage sustain!
Said
Tagore, “You have the word” of your choice;
And
“the nation will speak through your voice”;
Said
the Divine Mother, “Without Him I exist not”;
And
“without Me, He is unmanifest”!
A
multi-linguist, You were an ocean of knowledge and information;
And
an apostle of Indian nationalistic institution;
It
was in jail cell when You were awakened to the Divine Mission;
You
had a large posse of Divine followers to fulfill your vision!
A
firebrand, atom-bomb and missile at the inception;
An
erupting volcano turned into a flower-garden of divine definition;
The
two chapters of Your lifetime were unique inter-twined coalition;
Pondicherry was Your right, serene and tranquil destination!
Your
reclusion in incarceration enhanced your spirits;
As Your
saintly quest overwhelmed political wits and merits;
Your
most treasured gift to us was the Divine Mother with powers of infinite limits;
Whose
face was as radiant as rose conferring on us Divine benefits!
Yoga,
You believed, energized and synergized the body, soul and mind;
That
was the Supramental Truth You highlighted to the humankind;
Leaving
the occidental education and practices behind;
And
taking Your powers of Supernatural-being to the sky and beyond!
The
Yogic life in jail transformed You into a mystical Master;
For
younger generation You were a veritable and venerable God’s Minister;
As translucent
as alabaster, You made us realize things faster;
Preventing
the life becoming a disaster!
You
rightly thundered, “As knowledge grows, light flames up from within;
Look
to the noons of future, don’t belong to past dawns;
Refuse
to be affluent slave pawns;
And
to beg before the alien boss at his lawns!”
You
were as hot as an inferno, but as cool as ice;
Your
foresight and insight were far greater than that met human eyes;
You
chose the holy route to trigger political renaissance;
For
India to get independence and become a paradise!
Your
‘Yogashram’ happened to be the British prison;
‘‘Love
is yearning of the one for the one”;
You
set this norm for everyone;
Not
to be forgotten by anyone!
You
and the Divine Mother were an endowment to the humanity;
Like
two sides of the same coin with perennial benignity;
With
an unparalleled lifetime affinity;
Entered
into the hearts of the Divine workers to reign there in eternity!
