EVER REMAIN THANKFUL TO GOD

 FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:

EVER REMAIN THANKFUL TO GOD

At the outset, let’s say to God “We’re thankful to Thee for so many things. Without You, we would have nothing else to be thankful for.”

The whole universe and all parts and parcels thereof are nothing but the reflection of the Love and Grace of God towards all living-beings including the mankind. Yes, there are a lot of things in the world and in the lives of all of us to remain grateful to GOD at all times.

A person grumbled for not being able to buy a pair of shoes to wear. One day his grouse transformed into gratefulness to God when he was stunned and startled to find a person without one leg, and on another day another without two legs! Similarly, one felt restless at not having a golden ring, but was quieted when he happened to see a person without a hand.

Nature has given mankind a plenitude of things for the consumption of all. When they all remained common, everyone benefited. When they started falling into the possession of individuals, prices were fixed by them for each and everything once used to be available free of cost. The countryside and rural areas are typical examples where Nature’s bounties are aplenty, and where the passers-by enjoyed their fruits free of cost.

There are innumerable things and blessings in one’s life to thank God for, the ones you are aware of, and the ones that you are not.

There are countles persons in this world who are far below you in status, wealth, health, etc. So remain satisfied with what you are and what you have, and be thankful to God. Again, thank God whether he says ‘Yes’, ‘No’, or ‘Better Wait’. Develop a philosophy that God will not do or undo anything without a reason behind it!

To quote Swami Vivekananda, “Thank God for giving you this world as a moral gymnasium to help your development.”

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahasa said thus, “You see many stars in the sky at night, but not when the sun rises. Can you therefore say that there are no stars in the heavens during the day? Because you cannot find God in the days of your ignorance, say not that there is no God. Can you deny the existence of something just because of the absence of visibility?”

The winds of God’s Grace are always blowing; it is for us to raise our sails. And, as a lamp does not burn without oil, so a man cannot live without God.

Nitin Namdeo would say, “I am happy and grateful to God for all that I have and for all that is to come.”

In addition to tangible things, let us thank God for His Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Protection, Guidance, Friendship, Peace, Unfailing Love, and above all, being  our saviour - which all can only be deciphered by discerning minds.

Let’s thank God for the Yesterday, Today, and the Morrows in store for us. I would rather thank God for blessing me more than I deserved.

To quote Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, “Every sunrise is a message from God, and every sunset His Signature. What we have is a gift from Him. What we do with what we have is our gift to him.”

Faith is trust in God even when you don’t understand His plan(s). God will make a way even when all your doors and windows are closed. For sometimes he works in ways we can’t see which can be called the 'Divine Magic'. As a matter of fact, God’s gifts don’t have strings attached.

In real life, however intelligent and meritorious you may be, you still need a facilitative Godfather to make an entry and inroads in any domain/field.
