In this stiff, competitive world, he always wants to win in all walks and facets of life. He always wants to be in a success streak. Humans all across the world feel alike, in that, in addition to our sincere all-out efforts, there is something beyond it - an unexplainable force and effect - that we  all call ‘good luck’ that clinches success. Nobody puts up hard work just to fail in his/her activity or mission. Achievement and prosperity are the ultimate goals.   Whether you call it a firm, deep-rooted, or unshakeable belief, strong conviction, unwavering faith, unassailable trust, etc., man believes it works.   FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       CLASS - TONGUE TWISTER   A CLASS teacher, at the end of CLASS, asked CLASS students, "How was the CLASS?" PAT came the reply from CLASS students in many CLASSIC voices "First CLASS, Second CLASS, Third CLASS, no CLASS at all, and the like" - another replied, "Sir, I was physically out of the CLASS - another, I was virtually out of the CLASS despite being inside the CLASS looking at more CLASSIC things than the CLASS; hence unable to CLASSIFY the CLASS."  Other replies were - your CLASSIC deafening silence and NONCLASS at times OUTCLASSED even the normal CLASS - that INTERCLASS was SUPERCLASS in the absence of CLASS teacher  -  some CLASS students found fault with CLASSIFICATIONS like SUBCLASS, TOPCLASS, mediocre/average CLASS - once out of CLASS, I was happy and enjoyed rather than inside CLASS -  I minded my own business CLASS even while remaining inside the CLASS and hence no CLASSIFICATION of the CLASS ...

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:   AVOID BEING HARD - BE SOFT AND KEEP COOL   Why speak harsh when you have many a soft and sweet word? Hard, you can well avoid; Don't take friendship backward; Which you can ill-afford; Using rough and tough words - isn't it absurd? Why join a bad and black sheep herd? Instead, be a trusted friend and free bird; Don’t become wild and behave weird;  Eschew falsehood ; Don’t bend or sidetrack; advance forward!   Situation sometimes becomes like a double-edged sword; The right choice is to go onward; Brush aside the proverb ‘old habits die hard’; Shun, going downward; Why get your fame tarnished and name marred?   Don’t spread canard; Always be above board; Henceforward, for others, be a guard and safeguard; Accord priority to deserving people and things; don't go devilward; Be honest and sincere, both inward and outward!     R.SAMPATH 13.8.2025

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:   A BOUQUET OF WELL-INTENTIONED ADVICE   With peace of mind, you think everything right; Not in terms of might; Lest you end up in a fight; Why fritter away your benign spirit!   Always maintain goodwill; What is there in egoistic thrill? When you have many promises of sterling tasks to fulfill; Why offer a grist to the gossip mill?   A kind heart makes all the difference; Why then go for a wrong preference? Opt for co-existence with coherence; Go the way of convergence and concurrence!   There are many fine ways to act; Keep in mind this fact; Never ever overreact; With a negative impact; Have all righteous virtues intact!   R.SAMPATH 11.8.2025

Youngsters hardly heed elders' advice; Except for friends, none is their cup of ice; Mobile and digital platforms are their pet spice!   Even guest relatives don't get attention; With a mobile in hand getting increased concentration; Not the real, but Artificial Intelligence is their obsessive fixation: That engages their intense preoccupation!   For many, even parents are friends; In tune with the newly-created trends: Not interested in making amends; No matter where it leads and ends!   O Youth, in you lies nation's strength and intellectual bank; Let your wisdom not funk or shrink; Your family, society, and nation expect you to be an uplink; Always forethink and doublethink for the motherland’s outrank!     R.SAMPATH 9.8.2025

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       OLD DAYS and PRESENT DAYS     In old days, we covered distances by walk; Going to work is now a racewalk; With traffic everywhere, we now need a skywalk; In all activities, people want a cakewalk; And, in our birdcage flats, we do a silent catwalk!   Those days, people had peptalk; Nowadays, even with neighbours people hardly talk; Thinking it as an uphill task; Deeming it below their rank!   Previously, no food outside; Now nothing is cooked inside; With both spouses employed, eating is on roadside; And enjoyment is at seaside!   Previously, people did hard work; Never minded even bullwork; Law and morality were society’s bulwark! Today, many prefer sweat-free web-lock!   Yesteryear saw us in a simple lifestyle; And we were agile; Our dispositions were facile; Today, with money on hand, some go for a cocktail; Refusing to be docile; And never ready to reconcile!     R.SAMPATH ...
