SUPERLATIVE SHOTS

 

The sharpest knife is your tongue;

The biggest enemy is your ego;

The happiest moment is when you make others happy;

The deadliest weapon not to be used is mindless anger and enmity!

 

The easiest small gesture is your genuine smile;

The deepest emotion is love and affection from your heart;

The heaviest burden is your fear besides worry;

The choicest blessing is from GOD!

 

The mightiest weapon in your hands is hope, along with goodwill;

The closest friend is your conscience;

The simplest of the things you can do is to talk soft:

The sweetest thing you can offer to others is committed friendship!

 

The boldest step is to challenge the challenges;

The loudest voice should be yours for the voiceless;

The oldest tradition is hospitality;

The strongest faith in whatever you do earnestly pays!

 

The least you can do is lip sympathy;

But the holiest thing is to extend a helping hand;

The bravest achieve positive magic for the well-being of others;

The fullest satisfaction you get is in the service of the needy!

 

The greatest joy is giving;

The brightest star to live with is faith;

The ugliest trait is selfishness;

The worst thing to live without is hope;

And the best trait is to stubbornly uphold humaneness!

 

The dangerous person is a gossip-monger;

The cleanest and neatest habits make you smartest;

The safest bet is your trusted friend;

The cruelest thing to live with is arrogance, and without empathy!

 

Even the smallest of help is the biggest for the one in need;

The shortest and softest interactions make the longest and warmest impact on the recipients;

The lightest nods and mildest gesticulations from the purest heart create enduring, optimistic waves of reassurance;

The earliest assistance you give will pay the richest dividends to the indigent, deprived, and distressed!

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena. At age 8 itself, he had to his credit many poems in ‘Venba’ style.
