A huge and lengthy blue blanket enclosing the world's land TERRITORY;

 

It's a picturesque scenario to SEE;

 

The tumultuous waves are boisterously moving back and forth like a fluttering busy BEE!

 

 

 

 

Occupying two-thirds of the world's space, it's home to more lives than in LAND;

 

One can't remain BLIND -

 

To the waves' ripple effects and their effervescent nature of a rare KIND;

 

And the nature's gift it is to human MIND!

 

 

 

 

You epitomize assiduousness and TENACITY,

 

Known for your DYNAMICITY and perennial CAPACITY,

 

Besides vitality and VIVACITY;

 

To top it all, you're an inputs-rich research UNIVERSITY!

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena. At age 8 itself, he had to his credit many poems in ‘Venba’ style.   FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:         MY TRYST WITH SHORTHAND   A great salute/tribute to Sir Issac Pitman (4 January 1813 – 22 January 1897)   The necessity of writing words, phrases, sentences, and texts in shorthand was a long-felt one so that notes of speeches could be taken easily and presented quickly verbatim.   The history of shorthand or tachygraphy dates back to the ancient Greeks and perhaps even much earlier. The archaeological records show that stenographic symbols from Greece were discovered on the 'Acropolis Stone' (350 BCE). A marble slab found in Greece depicts a modified writing system that used not only vowels but also included certain modifications to denote consonants.  Taking clues and cues from this ancient work, some authors tried and founded their own versions of shorthand writing.
