EMIGRATE and IMMIGRATE:
EMIGRATE:
‘EMIGRATE’ means you are exiting your current homeland to
another country.
Example Sentence:
Many youngsters EMIGRATE from
India to advanced countries in pursuit of greener pastures. (For India, they
are EMIGRANTS. For recipient / host countries, the incoming people are
IMMIGRANTS.)
Many now EMIGRATE, when an opportunity comes their way, to the U.S.
IMMIGRATE:
‘IMMIGRATE’ means you are
coming into a foreign country, say the U.S., for better educational and job opportunities.
