PLAY
PLAY
Needless to say, life is a game;
PLAY it. Yes, life is a PLAY; it is not the length but the performance counts.
Children are mostly PLAYFUL, and
an imaginative PLAY makes for a happy childhood. For budding children, activity-oriented and PLAY-WAY
teaching is the best bet. While PLAYING, children learn to learn, as PLAY is human
brain’s favourite way of learning. CHILD PLAY means ‘it is easy to do.’
Emotions PLAY an important role in one’s life. While everyone would
like to REPLAY life's most joyous moments, who would like to have the
REPLAY of sad ones? A PLAYWRIGHT’s strength is his fertile perennial imaginations.
Politicians will DOWNPLAY, DOUBLE
PLAY or TRIPLE PLAY matters at their whims and fancies in the political
PLAYGROUND to suit their convenience. Rhetoric-rising by some local leaders is
called ‘PLAYING to the gallery'.
It is the MIND-PLAY that will
overwhelm the POWER-PLAY. WORD-PLAY is the key strength of a Speaker or Writer.
A simple definition of FAIR-PLAY is
‘give and take’.
Single PLAYER in individual games
and a TEAM OF PLAYERS OUTPLAYING other(s) will inevitably be the winner.
Sometimes, rains and/or bad weather may PLAY spoilsport to outdoor games. A team putting in a ‘HEADS UP’ DISPLAY
of its PLAY skills and talents is sure to shine. Match-fixing is followed by
UNDER-PLAY by some PLAYERS in a team involved in the scam.
When you ‘PLAY THE DEVIL’S ADVOCATE’, you pretend to be against
something that someone has said; you do this in order to make the other person
consider his argument in greater detail. Thus you are compelling him to examine
the merits and demerits of the case threadbare.
Learn the rules before PLAYIING.
PLAY the game; never let the game PLAY you.
விளையாட்டாய் இருந்தது வினையாய் முடிந்தது.
Originating in PLAYFULNESS, it
ended seriously.
