Your tenets are a pillar of strength to many a generation;

Your golden sayings generate inspiration;

Your thunderous sermons uplift youths’ aspiration;

Influencing, encouraging and energizing them to live up to your ideals with admiration and adoration!

 

Epitome of philosophy and embodiment of spirituality;

You always conveyed messages of universality;

With a rare, unique and unmatched intellectuality;

For us to live a life of totality!

 

Who can forget your Chicago speech?

Who else could have given it a top notch?

You had millions of hearts to touch;

Your address ‘Sisters and Brothers’ hit a purple patch!

 

Mélange or riot of information:

Doesn’t necessarily make for real education;

You gave a new definition of knowledge revolution;

For all to follow with conviction and achieve goal realization!

 

You decried the jelly-fish existence;

For, that doesn’t ensure a life with substance;

Your doctrines got global acceptance;

Thus you rose to international prominence!

 

Everything is easy when one is shrewd and busy;

But nothing is easy when one is lazy;

Life becomes rosy and cozy;

When one is free from being in a tizzy or things remain hazy!

    A nice birthday remembrance of an iconic spiritual leader Narendra aka Swami Vivekananda. His famous " Sisters and Brothers " speech at Chicago convention still etches in our memory.

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena. At age 8 itself, he had to his credit many poems in ‘Venba’ style.
