Meaning:

the goose is sauce for the grander’, you mean ‘what is acceptable for one
person in a particular situation should be acceptable for another person in a
similar situation - what is appropriate in one case is also
appropriate in the other case in question - said to emphasize that if one person is allowed to do something or to behave in a particular way, then in the normal course another person must also be allowed to do that thing or behave in that way.
