HOLOCAUST:

 

Pronunciation:

 

Hoa-la-coast (or) hoa-la-caust  -  ஹோலகோஸ்ட் (or) ஹோலகாஸ்ட்

 

Meaning:

 

A sacrifice wholly consumed by fire; burnt offering – a complete or large-scale destruction in fire – a great slaughter or massacre – mass deaths in a war – destruction on a mass scale especially caused by fire or war including a nuclear conflict – a great or complete devastation or destruction especially by fire.

 

 

Example sentences:

 

During the Second World War, roughly six million Jewish people were killed in the HOLOCAUST.

 

As long as we continue to pollute our oceans, we are setting the stage for a gigantic HOLOCAUST.

 

That movie portrays the real life of a HOLOCAUST survivor.

Meaning:

 

Abnormal and extreme weakness, loss of strength, lack of energy,

பலமின்மை, வலுவின்மை, உடல் தளர்ச்சி

 

 

Example sentences:

 

After a local epidemic of Chikungunya, many people reported muscle pain, joint pain and/or ASTHENIA.

 

After a serious ailment, one may contract ASTHENIA.

 

ASTHENIA is a condition in which the body lacks strength or has lost strength, either as a whole or in any of its part(s).

 

General ASTHENIA occurs in some chronic wasting diseases such as anemia and cancer, and is probably most marked in diseases of the adrenal gland.

 

ASTHENIA is a medical term for loss of strength, extreme weakness and/or lack of energy.

 

ASTHENIA is often a symptom in itself indicative of a broader health problem. It is also experienced differently by each.
