‘CONTRONYM’
Pronunciation:
Kaan-tra-nim
(கான்ட்ரனிம்)
Meaning:
A word having two mutually contradictory meanings. Of
course, they are rare.
These words, depending on the context, can have
opposite or contradictory meanings too besides their core meaning. When using these
words, we have to be careful and make sure the context clearly identifies which
meaning you intend to convey:

Bolt: To secure, or to flee

Bound: Heading to a destination, or restrained from movement

Buckle: To connect, or to break or collapse

Cleave: To adhere, or to separate
