WELCOME DAWN
FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:
WELCOME DAWN
The generally calm, serene, and
unflustered night that gives the much-needed sleep to everyone after a hectic
day of proceedings is certainly a boon to human-beings, providing a unique form
of rest, peace of mind, and fresh energy recoupment to ready people
for the tasks of the morrow, even as the pitched darkness of the night first sinks in, turns into twilight, and then recedes little by little paving way for the dawn to
set in and take charge of the further proceedings with the Sunlight starting to pitch in and spreading its wings all across, marking the beginning of the morrow loaded as it were with the usual hustle
and bustle heralding the new and much-expected next day.
The descending dawn would be welcomed by alarm-clocks
making different sounds at set times to wake people up, as the chirping birds
would, on their part, make wing-fluttering and whooshing noises of flying into
the air to greet the dawn in their own ways while a few squeaking squirrels
and meowing cats would crisscross as part of the early morning milieu. And the rustling noises of the leaves of trees
and other plants till then distinctively heard would slowly and steadily get paled
and dissolved into the morning din!
In rural and semi-urban areas, the ‘cock-a-doodle-doo’
may perhaps be the first one to call the shot greeting people with a ‘Good Morning’
followed by barking street dogs.
Whistles of milk and rice cookers,
cracking noises of mixers, and clattering noises of the kitchenware are common
morning sounds.
With the transition from a pin-drop silence
of the midnight and the wee hours to sounds and noises of sorts beginning on a
low key increasingly heard and the twilight appearing in the atmosphere as a harbinger, the day would start arriving inchmeal.
Next to follow are the ear-piercing raucous
noises of hooting vehicles and chaotic traffic on roads and the bustle at the
railway stations. A city life however starts even before the crack of the dawn
and extends well beyond the midnight.
With the New Dawn and Day come new
thoughts and new strengths. The past is gone. Today is full of potentials and possibilities.
One needs to rise up and start afresh.
See the bright opportunity in each new day, as every sunset brings the promise
of a new dawn like one being able to see the light beyond the tunnel.
The dawn heralds a brand new day, fresh
start, renewed energy, and new opportunities. Set your mind right, be thankful
for the bygone days, be positive for the new day ahead, and start your day
right for the new light and new opportunities unfolding.
Let us welcome the new morning with a
smile on our faces, love in our heart, gratitude in our spirit for all those
good yesterdays, and with new hopes for a bright today and excellent morrows.
Last but not the least, today is not
just another routine day. Treat it as a new and special opportunity, a new
beginning and another chance to embrace. Have a nice and fulfilling day.

Your article "Welcome Dawn " truly had the freshness of Dawn. It did bring out your aesthetic self, your spiritual self and the logical self of you. Your last paragraph is really nice as we realize that Each Day is the Dawn of a New Beginning.
