SELL (SOMEONE, SOMETHING, OR ONESELF) SHORT

 

Meaning:

 

If you SELL YOURSELF SHORT, you are modest about your achievements and good qualities, so that other people don’t realize just how good you are!

 

If you SELL YOURSELF SHORT, you describe yourself as less intelligent, talented, and clever than you really are.

 

Does he never feel that he is SELLING HIMSELF SHORT?
