CHALLENGE THE CHALLENGES

 FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:

CHALLENGE THE CHALLENGES

A challenge per se is not a threat to your existence, but it's a touchstone or rubbing stone to burnish your intellectual power and prowess to help you leapfrog the obstacles in your life journey and for the onward right course of action for solutions for the problems, even if you happen to fail in the initial instances. Even the bitter experiences encountrred and the pains suffered will help you safely wriggle out of uncomfortable and distressed situations in the future.  It is part of the life game for training you to become smarter and come out of a trying situation unscathed even as you surge ahead and reach your goalpost. Challenge yourself first before extending the gesture to and experimenting with others.

Life is a challenge; face it with your wisdom. A challenge is not a crack or setback in your life. The biggest challenge is keeping one step ahead of the trend.

Challenges are what make life interesting - overcoming them makes life purposeful and meaningful!

See your mistakes and failures in overcoming a particular challenge as a source of strength by taking proper lessons and equipping yourself well to take on the upcoming challenges. Yes, challenge the limits, and embrace possibilities.

Challenges are your facilitator too giving proper future guidance. Needless to say, every change is a challenge to become who we really are.

Women, in particular, face different pressures and challenges in this male-chauvinistic world, some of them being existential too.

In the midst of adversity, instead of seeing the obstacles as roadblocks, start viewing them as challenges that are nothing but stepping stones towards something greater. This shift in perspective should be a turning point after which everything should change for you.

Your success story is waiting to be written, if you embrace challenges, cultivate resilience, stick to steadfastness, persevere for pristine, perfect precision with a never-say-die attitude and approach, and spend your energies for the right causes in the right direction with grit and determination to achieve, etc. Celebrate even a small victory midway irrespective of whether, at the end of the day, you meet with final success or not. In such an event, triumph is not just a possibility, but an inevitability.

In some cases, it is quite possible that the person facing a challenge may not know what he/she is capable of and how to unleash his/her potential. Explore and exploit the latent talents in you fully. The more one embraces challenges, the more he/she realizes the incredible power that resides within them, a power waiting to be unleashed to surmount and demolish the challenges.

Don’t try to limit your challenges; challenge your limits. It is better to be a lonely lion than a popular sheep. And the lessons we learn from pain will always help us emerge stronger.

Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. Rather, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.

A famous quote goes thus, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.”

Needless to say, we don’t grow when things are easy; rather we grow when we face challenges.

Let me conclude with the following quotes:

The manager accepts the status quo; the leader challenges it.

(Warren G. Bennis)

But that’s the challenge – to change the system more than it changes you.

(Michael Pollan).

Challenges do come in life and every challenge makes you strong and shine from within.

(Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar)

We are not defeated by the challenges outside but by the weaknesses within us.

(Swami Vivekananda)

    Dear Sampath Ji

Your Article is truly inspiring and thought-provoking. You have beautifully explained how challenges are not roadblocks, but stepping stones that make us wiser and stronger.

The way you touched upon women’s challenges was powerful and very relevant. Thank you for acknowledging those silent struggles, too.

Some more quotes that have influenced us -

“Difficulties in life are intended to make us better, not bitter.” – Dan Reeves

“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

“In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein

“Success is not final. Failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
Your write-up is a gentle but firm reminder that growth comes through grit, and every challenge is a chance to rise.

Thank you for sharing such a motivating piece.
