O, flower with a sweet and pleasant fragrance;

You always give a fascinating appearance;

You never show intolerance;

Treat all alike with your vibrance!

 

A beauty par excellence;

With radiance and fluorescence;

And unmatched magnificence;

Inspiring us into endurance and resilience!

 

You have excellent quality;

You leave some aroma even in the hands that plucked you, thus maintaining no animosity, but only charity and equality;

Setting an example for agility and ability;

What to say, you aid in our potentiality and versatility!

 

Glimpsing you awakens our soul, and enlivening our spirit:

You offer many traits for us to inherit;

To excel in merit;

And become a favourite!

    A short and fragrant poem. Like rightly said, we too should leave our grgrance on people we come across. Not only a blosommed flower, even a seeing a plant full of buds gives joy. Your poem reminds of of thomas gray's ''elegy written in a country churchyard' where poet points out that some flowers blook to adorn the living and some to adorn the dead. But still they do send out fragrance irrespective of whom they adorn. Like rightly pointed out by you, we too should be agile to touch all in a positive way.

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena.
