Different spelling but the same pronunciation - yet different meanings:

 

1. Cash (money)  - cache (a lot of something)

 

2. Week (7 days) - weak (physical debility)

 

3. Face (human top frontal part) - phase (step by step)

 

4. Night (darkness all around, unlike in day) - Knight (a horse, a horse soldier, or a title of knighthood in recognition of one's bravery or intellectual power).

 

5. Sun (which appears in the day, giving light and heat) - Son (a male ward of parents)

 

6. Sight (appearance) - Cite (to quote/refer) – Site (A piece of land or location).

 

7. Vain (waste) - Vein (slender blood tubes in our body supplying blood to all the parts in the human life system) - Wane (become weak gradually).

 

8. Right (correct, power) - Rite (a ceremony).

 

9. Might (great strength/power, or a possibility or likelihood) - Mite (a small creature, amount, or contribution).

 

10. Great (big, famous) - Grate (cut food, vegetables, and fruits into small pieces).

 

11. Seen (past participle of 'see') - Scene (a locational or situational appearance).

 

12. Sent (passed on/ transported) - Scent (fragrance) – Cent – (A particular size of percentage / a particular size of land).

 

13. Raise (grow, lift up) - Rise (an increase to the next higher number or a level) - Rice (food grain).

 

14. Sink (drown / immerse) - Sync (synchronize/match up / act concertedly or in tandem).

 

15. By (proposition) - Bye (goodbye) - Bi- (twice in a particular period / double/bilateral ties and relations between two countries).

 

16. See (to look, glance) – Sea (a big salty water storage almost around the land territories of the world)

 

17. Soul (spiritual part of a person / the inner part of a person containing their deepest thoughts and feelings) - Sole (being the only one; single / the bottom part of a foot / the bottom portion of a shoe).

 

18, Cot (an elevated bed) - Caught (To catch hold of).

 

19. Wait (to allow time to go by) – Weight (The amount that a thing weighs)

 

20. To (proposition) – Two (2 numbers) – Too (Also).

 

21.  Be (to exist, to be present) - Bee (A flying insect – example honeybee)

 

22. Way (course, path) – Whey (thin buttermilk)

 

23. Waste (something thrown away as useless / something considered not useful) - Waist – (Our body part around the abdomen).

 

24. Seed (a grain that can create a plant if properly inserted into the soil and maintained and nurtured) - Cede (give away or surrender something)

 

25. Tea (A hot beverage) - Tee (a mark aimed at in various games / the area from which a golf ball is struck at the beginning of play on a hole)

 

26. Lays (put something in place, give stress to) - Lace (cloth that is made of very thin threads sewn in patterns with small holes in between - a shoestring)

 

27. Pays (to give / spend / defray expenses) - Pace (speed / quickness).

 

28. Rest (taking a break, relaxing, sleeping, doing nothing, just while away the time without any exertions) - Wrest (Forcibly pull or snatch/twist or turn; pull, jerk, or force by a violent twist)

 

29. Piece (a small amount, part, particle, shred, etc. of something) - Peace - (the state of being calm or quiet).

 

30. Wet (drenched, damp, water present on the floor/earth - covered in a liquid, especially water) Vet (A doctor for animals / read a draft and clear/approve it / to do careful and secret checks before deciding if somebody/something can be accepted or not).

 

31. Petrol (A liquid petroleum product used as energy - the liquid that is used as fuel for vehicles such as cars and motorbikes) - Patrol (to go round an area, a building, etc. at regular times to make sure that it is safe and that nothing is wrong).


32.  Lose (deprived / divested of something - you no longer have something / somebody Loose (Not firmly fixed / packed - not tight - not fitting closely).

 

33.  Plight (A condition, state, or situation, especially an unfavourable or unfortunate one, to find oneself in a sorry plight) - Plait (To cross and weave together the hair/rope over and under each other to make one thick piece)
