HAIL MOTHERHOOD


 

Food for thought:

 

Can you pay the rent for the period of your gestation and stay in the womb of your mother?


Can you fix the compensation for the labour pain suffered by your mother?


Can you pay for the Mother’s milk you had after your birth?


Can you pay for all the warm hugs and caresses you enjoyed from her that protected you from time to time?


Can you pay for her musical feast, especially the lullabies, to make you fall asleep every day as a child?

 

Can you pay her for your safety and protection she ensured without even blinking an eyelid throughout as you grew up?

 

On how many occasions would you have given anxious moments to her intentionally or otherwise?

 

How many times would you have taken her for granted in giving her pin-pricks deliberately or otherwise? And, at whose and what cost?


What volume of toil and tiresomeness she would have put up with to raise you?


These questions will always linger on for all the times and generations to come and will perhaps remain unanswered forever.

 

Mom's love is unqualified and unconditional.

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena. At age 8 itself, he had to his credit many poems in ‘Venba’ style.
