SELF PAT ON OUR BACK

 

 

Thanks to the Telecom Department first and the BSNL next for uniting us in a bonding FRIENDSHIP; 

And ushering us into non-biologocal KINSHIP;

We have natural MEMBERSHIP;

And not MASTERSHIP or LEADERSHIP;

We only have common PARTNERSHIP and collective and emotional OWNERSHIP!

 


But for this group portal, every one of us would have been in a separate ISLAND,

Without joining the MAINLAND;

We have avoided straying into WASTELAND;

For that, each one of us deserves a GARLAND!

 

  

While in service, we formed the secretarial FRATERNITY;

Maintained to the core the SOLEMNITY;

By forging UNITY;

And working with utmost DIGNITY!

 


What was an IMPOSSIBILITY during service days has been converted into POSSIBILITY;

Yes, now we have more COMPATIBILITY as close friends free from official RESPONSIBILITY;

We are now able to show NATURALITY than SUPERFICIALITY;

By having interactions - personally and collectively - though virtual, of good QUALITY;

There are no differences or barriers among us as we maintain EQUALITY!

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:         MY TRYST WITH SHORTHAND   A great salute/tribute to Sir Issac Pitman (4 January 1813 – 22 January 1897)   The necessity of writing words, phrases, sentences, and texts in shorthand was a long-felt one so that notes of speeches could be taken easily and presented quickly verbatim.   The history of shorthand or tachygraphy dates back to the ancient Greeks and perhaps even much earlier. The archaeological records show that stenographic symbols from Greece were discovered on the 'Acropolis Stone' (350 BCE).
