FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES

 

 

 

Both are of motley, a riot of mind-blowing colours;

 

 

And jaw-dropping designs;

 

 

Both are soft creations of Mother Nature;

 

 

Flowers are humble, and butterflies are nimble;

 

 

The latter are attracted by the former for the honey;

 

 

They're a natural pair, inseparable from each other;

 

 

Both are invariably captivating and entrancing to poets;

 

 

Who never miss to relate the duo as an apt pair in their work;

 

 

The colours and admixture of colours are the pet features of cloth manufacturers along with the countless designs to be printed in the female clothing, especially sarees;

 

 

 

Both, though they're short-lived creations, have attained an immortal/permanent place in the hearts and works of poets and the literary world at large!

 

 

Yes, butterflies are flying flowers offering a visual feast!

  FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:       THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR திருமுருக கிருபானந்த வாரியார் (25 August 1906 - 7 November 1993)   THIRUMURUGA KRIPANANDA VARIYAR was born on 25.8.1906 in Kangeyanallur near Vellore, Tamil Nadu.   He sowed divinity in the minds of the common man and words contemplated upon were humorously conveyed by him so as to grip the minds of his audience. He was affectionately and reverently called VARIYAR SWAMIGAL by people.   He had no formal education. However, he was brought up by his father himself at home giving him core divine knowledge and wisdom. Swamigal learned Tamil literature, grammar, and music, especially playing Veena. At age 8 itself, he had to his credit many poems in ‘Venba’ style. FROM SAMPATH’S DESK:                 NETAJI SUBASH CHANDRA BOSE (23 January 1897-18 August 1945) PARAKRAM DIWAS - (DAY OF VALOUR)   Subash Chandra Bose was born on 23 rd January 1897 in Cuttack in the erstwhile Orissa Division of Bengal Province of the British India.   Though born into a large, wealthy, well-educated, and privileged Bengali family, the fire in him for the freedom of India was rather inextinguishable, and his thirst unquenchable. The British rulers jailed him in 1921-1922 because he took active interest in our national independence struggle. Again, in 1925, he was sent to prison in Mandalay for nationalist activities and released in 1927.   After being the President of the Indian National Congress during 1938-1939, differences arose with the top Congress leadership and he resigned from the post and party.   He advocated complete Swaraj and was in favour of the use of force, if necessary,...
